The movie, “Miracle,” is the story of the greatest upset of the 1980 Winter Olympic Games. The United States hockey team composed of college players was victorious over the Soviet Union team, considered the world’s greatest hockey team.
When I watched the movie, I was completely caught up in the tension. There were moments when I was scared that Team USA would lose. Then I thought, “Hey, I may not know all the details, but I know that in the end we’re going to win.”
Thinking about my reaction to the movie, I realized that it’s the same way with the Bible’s predictions about the future. As we watch history unfold, we can get nervous about who’s going to win. But even though we don’t know all the details or when it’s going to happen, we do know that in the end, God is going to win!
