When my wife and I got married, we had no idea what paths we would take or decisions we would make in our life together. But we promised to love each other “until death us do part.” Marriage is about relationship, not decisions. As we look back, we can’t even remember many of the decisions that we have agonized over. Those decisions are certainly part of our relationship, but the relationship is far more important than any individual decision.

And it’s the same with decision making for Christians. To be a Christian is to have a personal relationship with God through his Son, Jesus. Maintaining our relationship with God is more important than any decisions regarding career, money or even marriage. When making important decisions, we need to worry less about the outcome and focus more on our relationship with God.
