Have you ever been frustrated by a car that stalled all the time? Our family once had a car that should have been in the Guinness book of records for stalling out. Every mechanic we asked was unable to find out what was wrong with it.

Some Christians are like that car. Something’s lacking and they stall all the time. One minute they believe and the next they don’t.

It seems to me that two crucial factors in our lives are circumstance and choice. God allows us in a multitude of circumstances – it might be sickness, job loss or divorce. In each of these circumstances we have the choice of either dealing with them with our own faltering resources, or dealing with them in faith, by trusting in God.

The way to keep from stalling out is by trusting God.
