Paul Harvey, a popular newscaster, was known for telling “the story behind the news.” Well, this is the story behind the news of Christmas. The baby Jesus was no ordinary baby. About him the Bible says, “all things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made.” In other words, Jesus was the creator!

Think about it! Mary and Joseph cradled in their arms the one who created the universe.

Think about it! King Herod ordered the death of the one upon whom Herod’s own life and destiny depended.

Think about it! The one who made us became human like us so that we could be reborn and become like him!

And that’s the Christmas story. The creator became a creature and he did it for you and for me!
